WE CELEBRATE OUR INTERNATIONAL WINNER Honored at IRD 2011 in Milwaukee, WI Jordan Ulicki TOPS #IA 0601, Fort Dodge 2ND PLACE INTERNATIONAL DIVISION 6
My mother wanted to encourage me to lose weight and had seen a TOPS NEWS Magazine. We joined TOPS #IA 0601, Fort Dodge in October of 2006. I was a 5 foot 9 inch tall teenager weighing in at 170 lbs. Instead of losing weight over the course of the next 3 years, I gained over 100 lbs, putting me at my heaviest weight of 273.5 lbs. Even during this discouraging time, TOPS was very supportive. Late in 2009, I decided it was time to make a change. I began to lose weight by cutting portions and making good food choices. In February, 2010 I started to workout at the gym with a friend, Marvin. Instead of dreading weigh-ins, I started looking forward to see what I had lost. Through my defeat of gain and my victory of loss, TOPS was always there to encourage me. I am now a 6 foot, 3 inch tall senior in high school and I weigh 210 lbs, making my weight loss a little over 60 lbs now!

Corine Webb 76.00 Pounds Lost to Goal
Just do it! My story is like many others. I have gained and lost all my life. Trying everything that came along. My friend Greta and myself decided to try it again. we joined TOPS IA 698, Altoona. That was in 2003. I weighed 254 pounds, the most I had ever weighed. I wasn't very well. My knees, back and most everything else hurting. Losing isn't easy, but you just have to do it. Quit putting it off. I have had breast cancer and beat that so far with God's help. Since lsing, I have gotten rid of five medications, my oxygen, and working on getting rid of my sleep apnea machine. The way I lost was smaller portions, more fruits and vegetables and drinking water was an important thing to do. I walk more and go to the pool twice a week. Make time for yourself. Do it for You! |
